How to Personalize Your Independent Direct Account 

Once you’ve set up your Independent Direct account, and have chosen a plan that suits your trading needs, you’ll want to personalize your account to make trading as smooth as possible.

Logging In and Accessing User Settings

First, log into your Independent Direct account on mobile or desktop. Once you’re in, you’ll be greeted by your default dashboard.

To begin personalizing your account, head to the settings menu. Look for the ‘User Settings’ in your dashboard’s top right-hand corner. This is where you’ll find various options to customize your profile, account settings, and more.

 

 

Customizing Your Profile

When the User Settings opens, you’ll find five tabs that allow you to set up and customize your profile. Independent Direct allows you to update your profile, add trading accounts, set your order types, change your layout settings, and update your notification settings from your User Settings Menu.

Under the Profile tab, you can also change your photo and update your time zone, password, email, and phone number. Keeping these details current ensures you stay connected and secure.

Managing Your Trading Account

You can add your accounts under the Trading Account tab by clicking the ‘Add Account’ button, choosing the type of account you want to trade with, adding your cash value, and hitting ‘Add’.

You’ll see your accounts listed as numbers. You can also edit the Alias of your account under Trading Account Settings. This feature is handy for distinguishing between multiple accounts. Independent Direct allows you to add multiple accounts, giving you the flexibility to manage various trading strategies or portfolios.

You can also set up your Default Order type under the Trading tab. Here, you can customize your account, add limits, and customize your price increment multiplier. You can also customize the appearance of the Verification Result and Order Placement Status dialogue according to your wishes. Please choose the “Do not show” option for the fastest trading.

Personalizing Layout Settings

Under the Layout Settings tab, you can change the colour scheme of your Marquee settings, including your text colour, accent colour, and behaviour. You can also change how your accounts are sorted. This customization helps create a trading environment that’s visually appealing and comfortable for your eyes, especially during long trading sessions.

 

Setting Up Notifications

In your Notification Settings, you can select how you’d like to receive notifications – from web, SMS, or email notifications. You can customize your settings to notify you based on your order type. Whether you prefer instant SMS alerts for trades or email summaries, Independent Direct ensures you never miss an important update or opportunity.
