Platform Layout Set-up

Independent Direct features a customizable widget-based user interface, allowing you to personalize your trading dashboard to match your trading style. Here’s a quick rundown of the icons and settings available on the platform, along with their functions and purposes.

	NAME	DESCRIPTION
	Marquee Settings	Configure marquee settings for different data sets.
	Settings	Configure global settings, change the language, lock the layout, or contact the support team.
	Widget Settings	Edit and customize widgets, including isolating widgets in separate windows and maximizing widget sizes.
	Add a Tab	Add an extra tab to the layout.
	Group	Group widgets by color to synchronize data between them.
	Widget Modification	Rename or remove a target watchlist or add a new one.

Finding & Adding a Widget

Trading Dashboard

The Independent Direct platform offers rich functionality with an easy-to-navigate user interface. You can group widgets by colour; for example, the Watchlist widget can be linked with the News and Chart widgets. By connecting these widgets, you can easily check the latest news and the chart of a selected security once the symbol is typed.

The Account tab displays your name and account number(s). Here, you can see details like access to virtual funds for demo trading. You’ll also find various tabs like Trade, Market Watch, and Analyze, which allow you to explore different aspects of trading. You can delete tabs you don’t need or reorganize their order by dragging them forward or backwards.

To add more tabs, click the plus (+) symbol, rename them, and reorder the layout as needed. You can also pin or unpin the Marquee and Widget bars via the Header Panel.

User Settings

Customize your User Settings by updating your time zone, personal information, trading options, and profile picture. User settings are organized into four tabs: Account, Trading Accounts, Trading, Security, and Layout Settings.

In your Layout Settings: The “Turn Safe Mode On” option helps you prevent the loading of faulty custom widgets that may affect platform performance.

Marquee Settings

Independent Direct’s Marquee provides flexible, real-time quote displays. You can customize the content of the Marquee in three different modes:

• Positions: Shows updated quotes of all the symbols you’ve traded and hold open positions.
• Watchlist: Displays updated quotes for stocks, Forex, or indices.
• Custom: Displays real-time quotes for symbols you choose.

Tabs

Each tab can be customized with any component from the widget list. Simply scroll through the “Add Widget” drop-down menu, select a widget, and it will be added to the tab. You can also create extra tabs, label them, and organize your tasks for seamless trading.

With features like flexible tabs, customizable marquee settings, and personalized widgets, traders can organize their workspace to suit their needs and enhance efficiency.
